The weather had me fooled today. Went outside this morning at 5:30 and it was 50 degrees. Something had to be wrong, they were predicting the mother of all storms…..at least that is how the news made it sound. Anyhow, it was dead calm, no wind, not even a breeze. I knew something bad was going to happen, its never this calm on T-Bay.
Launched from the Port Ramp, tide was too low to get out of the Old Mill Marina. I was supprised about the lack of boats at the launch this morning….I guess more folks believe the weatherman’s forecast and stayed home.
We headed for Bay City………first pass, WHACK. Ron did a spectacular job fighting and landing this 35# buck. As you can tell by the look on his face in the pic, Ron is a serious fisherman. I had the opportunity to fish Ron and his party on the Kenai this summer and he decided to fly out from Pennsylvania to fish Tillamook with me this week.
Stay tuned for another installment of Ron’s Tillamook Bay fishing trip.
Oh yeah, the weatherman was right about it getting snotty, he was just 24 hours off.

It was a good day. We started out the day at the Ghost Hole, trolled with the masses for a couple of hours. We saw only one fish caught, so we decided to head up to Bay City. That was where it was at for today.
The best thing, I have learned, on slow days like today, is be patient. Pick a spot and work it and work it hard. When there are not many fish being caught anywhere, pick a spot and stay put. It will pay dividends.

Well here it is, out of the stone age and into high-tech. Just think, it was less than a week ago that I discovered e-mail. Let me know if you find any bugs, typo’s or anything else disturbing while you enjoy the site.
Make sure you check out the Additional Information page, there is a ton of information about the Kenai River, Kenai Kings, and of course Les Anderson and his world record King.
For those intersted in Oregon, specifically Tillamook Bay and Garibaldi, check out the Oregon Fishing on the home page. Just click on the state and it will take you through the history of T-Bay starting with the discovery of the bay.
I would like to thank Brandon Tepley of btepdesigns.com for his inspiration and persperation in the construction of this site. Not only can he build a killer site, he is good at hammering the Reds as well.
